For too long, the economic and cultural contributions of the Black African and Caribbean communities have been treated as a peripheral social issue, rather than a core driver of our regional and national prosperity.
We created the Bristol Black History Month Magazine to change this narrative.
Operating as a trusted, year-round civic equity platform, the magazine was built to connect authentic community voices with institutional accountability. We do not offer symbolic visibility. Instead, we showcase the past, present, and future realities of Black communities, framing them as the architects of modern Britain and a central pillar of the future economy.

Black History Month 2026
Marks a monumental milestone, A Century of Black History. This year, themed ‘Black Resistance, " Standing Firm in Power and Pride" we move beyond symbolic visibility to salute 100 years of resilience, innovation, and the invaluable contributions of Black Bristolians who have shaped our city's literature, music, enterprise, and politics.
